Fall is my absolute favorite season. I love the cooler weather, how the leaves change colors, and the crisp, clean smell that fills the air. More than any other season, fall feels like a fresh start to me. Maybe it’s because it coincides with the beginning of the school year and the start of college football (which is a season all its own here in the South), but I always feel like fall brings new and exciting opportunities and a fresh start.
I’m not the only one who feels this way. In his book, The Great Gatsby, F. Scott Fitzgerald wrote, “Life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the fall.” After spending the winter months cooped up in the house and the ridiculously hot summer months sweating like crazy, these cool and crisp fall days are so inviting. The trees seem to come alive with their vibrant colors and all of nature seems to be inviting us to come outside and just enjoy ourselves.
This month, to celebrate the beginning of my favorite season, I am going to be cleaning out, organizing, and preparing my home for the fall and winter months. Think of it as a Spring Cleaning in September.
I’d love for you to join in on this Fall Fresh Start challenge! Here are the areas I’m going to tackle this month:
- Conquering the Closet Clutter
- Filling the Freezer for Fall
- Managing the Mail Monster
- Purposeful Planning
- Feeling Festive with Fall Decor
I will be sharing these posts each Friday of this month, so make sure to check back this month!
